CLINIC QUESTIONS
GYM QUESTIONS
For most of our clinic services we are able to direct bill. However, in some situations, that is not the case.
When it comes to chiropractic, massage therapy, physiotherapy, and psychology, we can direct bill almost all insurance companies. Please see the list of providers we currently work with below.
For athletic therapy and dietician consultations, we are able to submit claims for some plans, but not for others. If you are interested in booking an appointment with our dietician and/or our athletic therapist, please contact us (https://www.forfitnessandathletics.com/contact/clinic)to determine if your insurance allows direct billing.
As for reiki, it is not covered by insurance at this point.

While it's usually easy to get in to see most of our clinicians, we still recommend booking at least a week in advance. For our massage therapists, though, we suggest booking two to four weeks out.
Nutrition plays a critical role in athletic performance, recovery, and long-term health, and a dietitian consultation provides individualized, evidence-based nutrition strategies that help athletes fuel effectively, train consistently, and perform at their best.
Also, dieticians assess energy needs based on training volume, sport demands, and competition schedules to ensure an athlete is getting adequate carbohydrate, protein, and fat intake to support their training.
Proper fueling supports endurance, strength, focus, and overall performance while reducing fatigue during training and events.
Not to mention, recovery nutrition is another key area of focus. Dietitians guide athletes on optimal timing and composition of meals and snacks to support muscle repair, reduce soreness, and promote faster recovery between training sessions. This allows athletes to train harder and more consistently while lowering injury risk.
Hydration and electrolyte balance are also essential for performance. Dietitians develop personalized hydration strategies to prevent dehydration, cramping, and performance decline, particularly during intense or prolonged activity.
Additionally, dietitian consultations help identify and prevent nutrient deficiencies such as iron, vitamin D, calcium, and B12, which can negatively affect energy levels, bone health, and oxygen delivery if left unaddressed.
By tailoring nutrition plans to an athlete’s sport, training phase, goals, and individual needs, registered dietitians provide safe, practical, and sustainable strategies that enhance performance, support recovery, and promote long-term athletic health.
Athletic therapy specializes in musculoskeletal injuries in athletes, weekend warriors, and the
average-day person focusing on an exercise-based approached to resolving any physical issues
their body may have.
And contrary to popular belief, you do NOT need to be an athlete to see one. Athletic therapists work every segment of the population. It is built for anyone and everyone.
Finally, athletic therapists are certified sports first responders. Since they specialize in emergency
care for sports and exercise, they know the first line of action when people get hurt during practice, a game, active hobbies, or exercise.
From something simple like a minor sprain or heat exhaustion, to the extreme of a dislocation, fracture, heart attack, or anaphylaxis, athletic therapists know what to do.
