Forfitness and Athletics Performance Centre is dedicated to providing exceptional therapy services in order to help our Rothesay clients achieve and maintain their optimal physical health and wellness goals. We are committed to excellence in the assessment, treatment, and prevention of injuries associated with a sport, physical activity, occupation, and ageing.
Bridging the gap between rehabilitation, performance, and function we focus on a holistic, movement-based approach to injury. Our team conducts a thorough evaluation of the injury as a whole – including all factors leading up to it. We look for imbalances and deficiencies that could have played an important role in how and why the injury took place. At Forfitness and Athletics, our treatments are based on your individual needs, not solely on general symptoms. Our team of experienced therapists works together in a collaborative environment to provide each client with the best possible care.

Susan Flood, L. Psych
COGNITIVE BEHAVIOUR THERAPY - INSOMNIA | DEPRESSION |ANXIETY
" I have worked as a psychologist in schools and private practice in New Brunswick for 14 years and in Ontario for 15 years. My focus has been learning, behaviour, mental health and, more recently, sleep solutions.
I primarily employ cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) to enable people to acquire the insight and skills necessary for them to achieve better clarity, focus and understanding of the problems hindering their well-being."
As an Athletic Therapist I specialize in the prevention of athletic and orthopedic injuries while offering expertise in specialized rehabilitation techniques. I design and implement long term programs of posture, flexibility and total conditioning of an injured individual. This total approach to injury management helps decrease potential re-injury and can lead to an overall decrease in the length of an injury. An Athletic Therapist specializes in injury prevention skills including musculosketal evaluation, equipment selection and fitting, warm-up and conditioning programs and preventative and supportive taping techniques. I make use of the latest rehabilitative techniques including electrotherapeutic modalities, physical reconditioning and manual therapy techniques.
I have worked in the QMJHL with the Saint John Sea Dogs, PEI Rocket and Rimouski Oceanic. I have been the Certified Athletic Therapist for Team Canada's Junior Mens National Softball Team since 2012. I have worked on many amateur/professional athletes in the fields of hockey, baseball/softball, football, wrestling, volleyball, soccer, rugby and lacrosse.
More and more insurance companies in NB are covering Athletic Therapy every day. You don't have to be an athlete to see an Athletic Therapist. I will get you better, faster.
