Matt Forgie, BSc, DC, CSCS

Matt started his coaching career at Poley Mountain where he was a level two ski instructor and freestyle coach. Today, he is a Doctor of Chiropractic, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and a Certified Medical Acupuncture provider. He has also obtained his certification from StrongFirst as a Kettlebell Instructor, and from the Complete Concussion Management Institute as a Concussion Management and Rehabilitation Specialist.
Matt is the owner, head chiropractor, and head strength and conditioning coach for Forfitness and Athletics. He graduated from Mount Allison University (2001) with a degree in Chemistry and Dalhouise University (2005) with a degree in Biology, and continued on to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating in 2009.
Matt works with his patients and with athletes following a movement-based approach. When caring for patients and athletes he applies only sound clinical and evidence-based approaches to his treatment and training. His approach to treatment is active based, which means he uses education and exercise as his primary treatment modality. Matt works with all types and ages of people from rehabilitation to performance and is currently working with tactical (firefighter, police, paramedic etc.) professionals, as well as soccer, MMA, hockey, golf, kayaking, rowing, basketball, racquetball, baseball and running athletes. His passion is in providing his patients and athletes with the knowledge and abilities they need to perform pain-free.
